Welcome!
One of the first questions I am often asked is, “why did you become a Chiropractor?”
Growing up, I was involved in figure skating and ballet and through those experiences I became intrigued by the human body; I wanted to know how we are put together and how everything works. I was first exposed to Chiropractic at the age of 10 and learned that I had a lack of mobility in my pelvis, likely due to numerous falls while skating. I was not experiencing pain at the time, but as I got older and became more aware of my body, I noticed that I felt different after treatment. I had better mobility, I felt looser, and I had improved balance.
I began considering Chiropractic as a career as a result of not only my own experience, but also through the positive effects I witnessed in family members who were also under care. Chiropractic appealed to me because I wanted a role in the healthcare field that involved a natural, hands-on approach to healing, and one that would allow me to spend time with my patients and develop a relationship with them.
I firmly believe in treating each patient as an individual and using a combination of therapies (such as Chiropractic Adjustments, Acupuncture, Ultrasound, Electrical Modalities, Laser Therapy, and Soft Tissue Techniques) to maximize the healing potential. The duration of treatment and chosen modalities are modified and adapted depending on how your body is responding to care.
I encourage patients to become active participants in their healthcare, and I strongly believe in preventative medicine; I don’t necessarily need to see you every week, but rather provide you with the tools to prevent injury in the future.
